"Wildly creative. Sometimes just wild."
Venture into the exciting projects, creative solutions,
and personal highlights of Kevin Bushaw.
Kevin Bushaw is living the dream in sunny Arizona.
As the Conferences and Events manager for the School of Social Work, he's incorporating his over 20 years of experience in graphic design, marketing, event management, and party planning all into one gig while delving into the worlds of social work and behavioral health.
Kevin began designing and manipulating graphics and images at age 16, when he told his dad, Greg, "In order to be a graphic designer, I'll need access to the Adobe Creative Suite. It's the industry standard." After the initial sticker shock wore off, his father bought the computer program on the condition that Kevin do all the design work for his various business ventures. It was great practice, and after jumping in the "deep end of the pool" early on, he developed many ofs of the skills that he uses to this day!
In the position of Creative Director for the publication ION Arizona Magazine, Kevin was very involved in the Arizona LGBTQ+ community, and notably has been involved in fundraisers for a number of charity organizations, such as the Southwest Center for HIV, the IGNITE Phoenix Program, the Joshua Tree Feeding Program, Aunt Rita's Foundation, Equality Arizona, Phoenix Pride Scholarship Program, and more.
Recently, he's returned to school to add a feather in his creative cap by earning a Bachelor's of Fine Art in Digital Photography from Arizona State University.
